Solidarity in Italy: Frassati (TO)

Foreign youngsters are hosted by Italian family or in communities and, according to their age, attend high school or take part in voluntary projects.

AFSAI offers to young people aged between 18 and 25, interested in an experience of voluntary service and in their improvement of their language skills, a program, the European Voluntary Service (EVS) financed by the European Union.

An EVS project allows a young person to be a volunteer in another country for a specified period, normally between 6 and 12 months. Voluntary service activities can take place, for example, in the field of the environment, arts or sports.

Volunteers, who decided to apply for the exchange in Turin, will be hosted in the  Frassati Community.

The community of Frassati, a small town near Turin, is a residential structure for minors who have experienced hard social and familiar disadvantages and hosts generally female adolescents and teen-agers aged between 12 and 18. The community works in cooperation with the Social Services and Minor Tribunal.
